The US government does not make this a simple process. You can read about it at nhtsa.gov, you will need to search around there, I am not sure of the direct link. Unfortunately there is little you can do yourself. You are required to involve a Registered Importer who will normally arrange all aspects of the importation. The good news is that if you decided to sell the 500GE here you should be able to re-coup your expenses. If you only plan to stay for a while there are exemptions for temporary importation. It will have to be converted (at the aforementioned considerable expense) before it is sold!<br><br><p>
