Gear box housing

Hello,<br>I have a 5 speed transmition, original from a 230GE<br>and a 4 speed (711.1).Can I use the housing from the 711.1 to fit the 5 speed.<p>We need this to fit a 5 speed (gas) to a diesel engine.<p>Any help?<br>THANK, JD<br><p>

Hi JD,<p>no you cant - but that´s obvious when you look at them both together. <p>Best of luck - frank<p>P.S: Mind the flywheel of your OM 617 A ! It was originally balanced for an automatic gearbox and might not run properly with a manual.<br><p>
