Hello G-Experts,
just purchased a G wagon (230 carburettor, low compression) that was in service with the US Army in Germany from 84-95.
A bit strange is, that the vehicle, although clearly a military version, has a civilian interior and -except for the tires- no other typical militarian equipment whatsoever.
I always thought, the US Army is only interested in the G for past few years ??
Were there any earlier trials or would anyone know about G wagons in the US Army in that period ??
The chassis is in an excellent shape, by the way, and has definetly not seen any heavy off-roading. The G must have been stored in a dry and warm place for years by the looks, she only clocked about 30.000 mls in those eleven years and another 10.000 since.
Any input is much appreciated !!
thx - frank
