did a search but did no find a definite answer. I need a part number for the twin male plug in the atached picture. Is this a DC, Hella or Bosch part?? Hopefully I'll be able te get it localy or on my trip to Germany in may.
The small rubber plugs are fitted into vehicle wiring sockets so you have a male and female end.
The trailer socket you are best obtaining locally to suit your towed trailer and adapting the wiring accordingley.
The standard socket used is the one common to the E.U. and is cheaply available along with plugs from many makers but allways using the same wire i.d. numbers.
There are two versions so be carefull one with the basics for caravans/trailers for legal lighting and a second version often grey in colour which is to be found powering caravan batteries and accessories, dont mix as damage will occour. Count the pins and male/female configuration.
remember that you will need the warning buzzer and the spec for your (local country) set up.
The plugs either plastic or metal are best being stuffed with grease after testing it may be messy but better than not working.
I'm going to use a 7 pin Bosch socket and plug wich I purchased at a local auto store for $20.
What I have in my G are 2 female end plugs. Since the male plugs are available it would be nice to get them and not to splice into the harness.
I've seen them in the EPC but it wont give a part number.
Thanks and Rgds
