Does anyone know of an experienced G-Wagen mechanic in San Jose or someone with ample enough experience with G-Wagens to give an accurate an honest estimation of a vehicle? I recently saw a vehicle which is fairly aesthetically pleasing, I checked underneath and saw no rust, the car is registered in California. The interior is pretty good with a few blemishes BUT has a working factory A/C unit. I'm a bit concerned over the exhaust which was a tad bit smokey, not outside of course, but when the vehicle was left running in a garage for a few minutes, as well as just want some reassurances as to the motor being in good working order and the 4wd/locker system working as it should. I had a brief time to drive the vehicle and it seemed to motor along quite nicely, but I would just like to know what I'm getting into first.
