Snow Storm in NYC, Long Island
Hello Gwagen Community,
I am currently in new york city, specifically in Queens, about 15 minutes to where the Hockey Team The New York Islanders.
Just yesterday my cousin Donna visited me on Feb 11 and the day was beautiful, I have included a photo of her.
The snow was so deep I am not able to get out of the house, I was just able to let my Doberman out and was able to get a photo of my dog with my white G-class.
When I am able to get the snow out of the way of the door way, I am going to take my G-Cabrio out and head to Long Island.
If you had plans to come to nyc, stay home and be safe and warm. [:)]
take care,
Van

Up here in the Bronx I have 25 inches on the ground with no plows in my community. I have taken the swb with BFG AT KO out and had drifts where snow has literally mid door. No issues and I did not need lockers. PS - Stay tuned the gray 02 G is dead. Replacement is coming. Can not say more at this time. Enjoy the snow.
At the risk of highjacking this thread, in fact my troubled, gray '02 sadly died on the road 10 days ago. I was traveling onto a major highway, and I depressed the gas pedal and watched all the instruments go dead. No power anything and I rolled on to the highway narrowly missed being slugged by a semi and then I could not get out of any ones way and I had no power to get on the shoulder. Well, it has been at my dealer and they have declared that they can not start it and they do not know what is causing the problem. I have gently and calmly explained that it is now their problem and that they need to make me whole. Interestingly, they have not even balked at making me whole. It might be because of my very reasonable request (in writing) for all service records. I am getting a new G, just negotiating over models. I have driven (over the past week) the new Jeep SRT8, Lexus LX 470, new Tahoe, Hummer H2, RR Supercharged and RR Supercharged Sport. I think rather than disparage them it is best just to say I will be driving a new G. Finally, I must say that I will miss the old girl. She was a lot of fun and until the most recent escapade always made me smile.

It sounds exactly like what my 2000 G500 did on the Interstate in nebraska 2&1/2 yrs ago. In my case it was a loose main power wire located behind the fuse panel. The "O" connector on the end came off. Loss of all instruments, not power to the engine, etc. I posted a photo of that recently here in a thread started by CaptPete.
if they were smart (perhaps crafty and devilish is a better adjective set), they'd fake that it's really dead so they can get out from under that warranttee Marco negotiated. Then fix it and sell it to some poor soul.
