Having done a few of them, I consider a 617 turbo
G Wagon the ideal all around set up.
I can do a convertion under contract, or furnish
engines, rebuilt or good used, transmisions,
engine brackets, drive shaft spacers, linkages
and accesories as needed. Advice is free...
I also have many G parts in stock including
new front discs and pads, rear shoes etc.
Also have 463 front axle, G500 transmission
280 and 230 engines, numerous 460 parts new and used.
For more info call 450 227 8972 and I will
return call.
Cheers Warren
One gets the not so common experience of doing business with a first rate fellow, and G enthusiast. Having had both business and friendly relations with Warren for the past couple of years, I can say with total confidence that if I had the cash, I'd be sending my truck to Canada for the 617A conversion. And that's not to imply that Warren's price wouldn't be reasonable....just that I have no money.[:(]
Warren has worked on my old 1987 230ge (front wheel bearings etc). I consider myself extreemly lucky to have had the opertunity. He is a fair and honest man with integrity and and great skills. I would not purchase another G without him in my corner.
His converted 460 series, 280ge to a 300td..... is perfect... and I want that truck! Probably the only 80's G I know of in Canada that is worth as much,(or more) than a used 463.
Warren you should name your conversions as the new 464 series! Reliable and simple with everything you will ever need!
cheers

Hello Peter....Good to hear from you!
Factory should have offered 460 trucks with
turbo diesels, flashers taken off top of front
fenders(snow removal), roof cut down 3 inches
and electricals up to 123 body standards,
16in wheels and better seats, almost perfect AY.
It's not an issue for me personally, but I LOVE the fact that my 6'4" buddy Ralph just grins from ear to ear when he's riding in the back seat and never fails to marvel at the room for someone of his frame to be comfortable back there.
Think aerodynamics...I am 6ft tall and there is
a good 7 to 8in. of space above my head unused.
Seat could also go down 1in. and still have good
visibility. Might even give a more balanced look.
One of these days I am going to try it.
Cheers Warren
