RE: '02 G55 Cab? Or just a rebadged square-tipped monstrosity?
AMG has two sides of the business. They have the official MB dealer sold models and they will also tune cars for the end user. When I was at AMG in September they had a handful of G55 cabrios and I believe at least one was a Kompressor from some of the people I talked to. There was also a couple G55 LWBs optioned completely different than what we typically see. This cabrio could have the engine but the owner opted not to do the wheels. I don't believe the G55 in any form (SWB,LWB, Cabrio) was offered in 02 as an official model, but it is possible enterprising dealers had the work done before the initial sale. Just a guess - keep us posted.
(FYI - I posted some pics of the G55 cabs at AMG late last week. I think the topic had something to do w/ a G500 imported before 2002. Probably a page down or just search my posts.)
