Front turn signal on bumper

I noticed on similar truck on Ebay that it has front turn signals mounted on front bumper. I noticed the holes on my bumper but thought they were for another set of fogs. I traced the wires and have found them, so next question is?

Where those standard in 86 & 87?

Polish Dude,

I have a 1986 280GE and the ebay listing you are looking at is aftermarket.

Your 280GE has everything and extra signal lights are not necessary.

Good Luck,

Van

In Europe, the lights on top of the fender were and are turn signal lamps only, and the running lights - aka city lights - were located in the headlight reflector. The Federalizers often changed those top mounted lights to dual filament running and turn signal lamps, since the in headlight reflector running lights were not legal. Other times they did other things. There was no consistency from one shop to another. The ones missing from your front bumper coule be either turn signals or running lights.

You should have seen the extra yards of wire used by the one who did my 280GE - all because he didn't reseat the dual filament tail light bulbs properly
