European front plate holder

my 2004 has the US size holder, and i would love to put a german plate up front. from searching this forum, it seems the PN is A.463.885.13.33 for the euro holder?

my dealer "is not allowed" to order this item due to some legality nonsense. from what i understand, this should have been a standard item on <02.

does anyone have access to this part? if i spoke german i could try that route, but alas.

any ideas? or does anyone here have an "extra" brilliant silver holder i could buy?

RE: European front plate holder

Who are you dealing with at the dealership? Are you asking one of the sales associates, or are you walking directly back to the parts area?

All that you should need to do is give them the part number, and have them call you when it comes in. Sometimes they will have to pay before hand because it is special order.

If they will not order it, call a different dealership with the part number and have them order it.

You have already done the hard part... finding the part number.

i asked the parts counter. they said they could not order this specific part. :-(

i will try other dealers to see what happens! but if anyone else has a lead, or even the part i need, let me know!

Mine is 21" wide and I would love to have the narrow one. All you need is paint my black plate holder.
Straight exchange?

dougie, I would think that G-Wagon USA would have several laying around. Are the cops laxed in your area regarding the front plate? Be careful when you get near LA, they're just waiting to give tickets.

RE: European front plate holder

It would be great to have the narrow, US sized one- (the one you want to get rid of) - do you know the Part #? Thanks in advance,
m
