Need a Front License plate holder

Anyone have a front License plate Holder they would sell me?

Why NJ needs plates on the front I will never know.

RE: Need a Front License plate holder

Typically that would be a drill and a few screws as there was no 'official' license plate holder for the 460 series. I used a front plate holder from a Porsche 993 and tapped it into the front bumper. I'm sure there's others that would do the trick. Congratulations with your new G!

So that you can be identified by the red-light traffict camera, of course. It's a revenue enhancement issue. [xx(]

I've been pondering a plate holder that attaches via the bumper hitch pin. . .

correct me if im wrong, but when you drive through a red ligth, doesnt the camera photograph the back of the car? This way you can see what light is burning on the traffic light, to make sure the camera flashes when its red.

Perhaps different localities have different systems, but in my neck of the woods cars are photographed from the front.

One day, as I was chatting with the officer giving me a citation for not having a front license plate, I asked him if there was a crackdown on missing front plates because of the recent proliferation of red-light cameras, and he said it is indeed so. [:(!]

That is exactly what was done for my 280GE at the MB Factory Dealer in Stuttgart when I took delivery of it new in 1984.

RE: Need a Front License plate holder

I just got pulled over two days ago, for no front plate. I've got a german style vanity plate thats been on both my G500 {sold} and now my G55 for over three years. I haven't ever had a front plate on eather of the G's or my F350 truck. I guess it was just an early X-mas present. The CHP sat there quizzing me about the truck, woundering how I cept it so clean because it's black. I guess I should be happy he didn't get me for the front windows beening tinted[:(!]

RE: Need a Front License plate holder

I went down to my Local ABC AUTO, for $4.00 they had a universal one I can tap into front bumper.

Thanks again.

I think my wife is already disliking the new "Lady" in the driveway.

If you're going to go through all the trouble of fabricating one of those; might as well make me one while you're at it! [:D]
