Windshield Wiper Motor

Living in Oregon we rely heavily on our wiper motors and it appears that mine has begun to fail. Last weekend it started to slow down and now will stop completely if any resistance is applied. [:(] I tried lubricating the wiper shafts where they come though the body. I must get this fixed for ski season which is now upon us (timing!). I need to know the part number for a 300GD wiper motor or maybe it would be better to find a shop to rebuild the original motor? An expeditious place that carries the part wouild be especially appreciated. Any feedback/ partnumber/ or suggestions are welcomed.
Regards,
Eric

RE: Windshield Wiper Motor

You can get a brush set for the motor: # A 000 829 07 75 if you want to have a go at rebuilding it. The motor is A 002 820 44 42.

There are 2 possible wiper bearing shafts depending on vin# up to 066443 or 904855
Left A000 820 42 46
Right A000 820 43 46

From 066444 or 904856
Left A000 820 78 46
Right A000 820 79 46

Left A000 820 80 46
Right A000 820 81 46

There seems to be 2 types available for the later vehicle listed on my epc
Replace both sides when doing the bearings its not worth taking it apart for just one and they are a common problem seizing and leaking.
Good luck

Did you search the forum?

I'd swear someone posted wiper motor info before. Maybe even a Bosch number. Might also try running the motor by a general MB mechanic to see if they recognise it as crossing with a sedan or something.

Make sure you check all the wiring connections first too, or even try power directly to the motor from the battery with a clip lead.

Good luck!

Everything BUT the part number you asked for, I know. Sorry, but I don't have access to EPC here.
