Well we have our setbacks. Conversion of my 460 LWB from a 230ge to a 290gdt has been a long procedure and have put up with a few long delays. Now we have another. Left hand rear brake was SLOW and thought the problem was in the brake cylinder but NO . Spotted a broken coil. Has anyone out there got one for sale? The closer to NZ the better but can ship out of Los Angeles if needed. Have a pile of left over bits from the conversion if you want to swap
Tanex,
I'm in Australia, what part do you actually need?
Is it the rear suspension spring, or the brake proportioning spring or is it in the drum??
I think I have a rear coil spring, but it must be the same colour code as the opposite spring, what colour stripe is on your remaining spring?
You can ring me on +61-416-180-180.
See this link for springs.

What bits do you have left over from the conversion??

clean the upper and lower part (2-3 windings) of the spring and you'll find color markings. Your replacement spring should have the same amount of markings and the same color.
I have just replaced the rears on my SWB, they were 'green' and very sagged, so they not much good any more, but your welcome to them.
I have ordered a set on local made King springs for the front and they should arrive next Monday and I will let you know how they go.
They cost AUD $174 a pair.
They were recommended to me by another forum member, 'Kerry 460', he has them all round and is happy with them.
I had the same problem with my 460 swb. One of the rear spings just broke. I found good and low cost springs from a European coil springs manufacturer Kilen. In their catalogue they have only w460 rear springs listed but that's what you need. They were about 150$ USD a pair and a bit stiffer than my previous ones. Can't compare to MB color chart.
The Kilen catalogue is available from here:
