IPOD integration KIT for the G???????????

For many mercedes models (clk and ML for example)there is a original KIT to integrate the IPOD and the command system . There is a Plug in the glove compartment where you conect ipod , and you still control everything by the ipod screen. Very confortable for long country trips.Is it available for G?

The system that totaly integrates IPOD and COMMAND system (you control everything in the command) is not available for the G!!!!

A big discrimination !!!!!!!

The other Mercedes models you mentioned are using a totally new version of the COMAND system and they are also using a new Fiber Optic network to connect devices in the vehicle rather than the old D2B bus system found in the G-Class. If Mercedes does continue production of the G-Class beyond 2006, they will need to update it to use these newer components. The current G-Class interior is based on the 2001-2004 C-Class.

An interesting fact is that the iPod kit is not available for the SLR, which seriously annoyed a friend of mine who just bought one. I told him the engine makes more beautiful music than any iPod could output. [:D]

Your 2005 G500 does not have a aftermarket IPOD integration Kit ?

There should be some available from a NET search.
