rear diff wont UNlock...

has anybody had any issues with their diffs not unlocking? i am at a loss as to why my rear diff will not disengage. it has not made contact with anything.

maybe their is a solenoid (sp) out somewhere? i have already checked for loose wires.

What are the symptoms of it not unlocking? What year is your truck?

thanks for the reply, but i managed to disengage it manually. i think the solenoid is out, or possibly the switch.
