Seeking a 2005 G55

I am looking for a silver 05 G55 to purchase (only silver, no other color). My dealer is able to acquire a new G55 in Graphite, but not silver. I randomly called about 15 dealers from the MB website with no success. Does anyone on the forum happen to know of a dealer who has a new 05 G55 in silver for sale?

just have your dealership do a nationwide search for one, if there is one it will show up on their internal network of available inventory.

The dealer did a nation-wide search, but caveated the search by indicating to me that with an in-demand niche vehicle like the G55, other dealers may mark a G55 as sold even if it is not, as they do not want to trade, etc.

I confirmed this to be true - I have had 2 dealers I work with both tell me nationwide the car shows up as sold, yet I read on another forum that a MB dealer in Atlanta had a G55 - I called them and they confirmed they do have one - but in black, not the color I am looking for. Thanks.

Thanks for the tip. I called - they had a G500 - the salesman I spoke with was very honest, and advised me to call 3 dealerships directly that may have G55s in Silver - he advised that he had nothing to trade for the truck, and did not want to mislead me or waste my time.

I called the dealerships, two had sold their G55s in the past week, one had not sold their G55 yet - I am in the process of purchasing it now!

Many thanks for the referral. Neither of the 2 dealers I had previously been working with were able (or *willing*) to locate the G55 in Silver.

The salesman's name in Chandler is Les Armstrong. A real stand-up, ethical guy. He will not personally profit from this sale, but if it goes through, I will go out of my way to buy from him in the future (I happen to live part of the year in north Scottsdale).

I seriously doubt that. Maybe 5-8K if its new and 10-12K pre owned.
