G55k Running in the engine Tips.

first of all,
Thx everyone for giving me your opinions about what should i doo with the money i had for the car, for a while i was actually convinced not to buy the car and i passed by the dealers just so i can actually see it upclose and personall. That was the biggest mistake i ever made, once i looked at it and sat inside it i realized that car was the most beautifull car i ever was in and just BOUGHT IT[:D].

Now i need help from all u G pro's, with instructions or tips on how i should run the engine in properly for proper future performance.
it says on a sticker on the windsheild that

first 1000miles: max engine speed 4,500 RPM
Max Vehicle speed 85 mph
after first 1000miles slowly increase engine speed and vehicle speed..

just thought maybe u guys have something else to add on to this.. Thx again.

oh yeah jimmy can u email me at rashed404@hotmail.com i really want u to try out the car. IT IS DA BOMB [:D] .... set up a meeting time

RE: G55k Running in the engine Tips.

Just follow what is in the manual. It is extremely unlikely that you could hurt it so don't sweat the details too much. The engine has already been run to redline under load before being released from the factory. 1000 miles isn't too long to wait either, my Cayenne manual stated a 2000 mile break in.

change out all your fluids...

I can't recommend a good interval... maybe the first 1000-5000 miles, change out the diff's and transfer case fluid.

It's my understanding that's it's just good practice to change out the fluids because invariably little bits and pieces make their way in during assembly and/or are generated during the break in process and you might as well get them out sooner than the 50k miles service.

The other reason to change them out is because there are better fluids you can put in that'll let them run cooler. (Slight improvement in mileage too)

Rashed ,

That is surely a beautifulllllllllllll car , and there is no way of comparing this beauty into the new G .

Mabrouk [:p]

Like brent said follow the manual's instructions and don't worry too much the engine has already been run at the factory .

Happy G wheeling .

Nice! I wonder if they will offer different color interior options in the US. That will be hard to keep clean but looks great. I can't see your command system so please tell me they put the dvd system in and got rid of the cd junk. Congrats!

Very nice. Here in the USA we are force-fed the chrome front/rear lamp guards and the chrome bars under the bumpers.

don't forget the window tint..

in the US, we also get the mandatory privacy tint glass on all rear windows. I didn't realize it's available elsewhere, and on the g55k, with the standard light duty tint all the away around like the pre-2002's are in the US.
