Removing dashboard top.(460)

the top of the dashboard on the right side with the grab handle on a 460 (I have a 1980 cab)...how do you get this off? I can't see any screws or attachment points anywhere...
thanks
George

RE: Removing dashboard top.(460)

Hi

First remove the glove compartment- remember the bolt underneath, where the tools are straped up. Then reach your hand in the hole and feel the bolts that holds the "panic" handle and in the far corners with some light in the hole, you will see the tiny bolts that holds the whole vinyl top of the dashboard. It´s a small space to work in, but I managed to pull it off without removing the center console with radio and heater[:D]

P.S. Be carefull not to tighten the screws for the glove conpartment too much- the plastic is known to splinter very easy...[:o)]
