Front license plate mounting brackets

In Texas is mandatory to have front license plates in the car.
My G500 (even though it was pre-owned from Houston) doesn’t have any provisions for the installation of front license plates.
Any ideas as to what can be used?
Dealer is asking $185 for parts and installation.
Any decent aftermarket alternatives?

BTW: Does anyone have the MB front license plate mount? Is there any drilling required in the installation?

In Europe, the plastic mount sells for EUR 22. To that mount you need to add an adapter for the US style plates, but that can't be too expensive.

There should be two small holes on the top of the bumper in the middle and spaced about 12" apart. These hold (with screws) the small angle brackets that mount to the back of the plastic mount.

Even Europa should be cheaper than the dealer for this.

my 03 came with a front bracket.

mounts on top of the bumper.

there are predrilled holes in the top middle of the bumper. there are plugs covering the holes.

unless you bought your g used, you have a gripe with the dealer.
