Next week I'll have the front and rear axle bearings replaced on my G. Also all fluids/filters will be changed and the rear driveshaft will be sent to a machineshop to get balanced (the front was already done couple of month ago and the change was amazing).
Is there anything else that should be done on the G while in the shop? Any special preventive maintanance?
Thanks,
Mike

RE: Maintanance

Put a gardening hose on the top and bottomn round of your new springs. That will prevent the springs from making noises when they move around in the spring seat.

You can do that but if you are removing the springs why not plastic dip..there is a ruberized coating you can purchase from Eastwood that is flexable and chip resistant. It comes in cool colours too! http://www.eastwoodco.com

only problem with : moisture can get trapped there and force springs to corode. After a while, springs will break.

Looks like I'll have my G siting in the shop for a while as the local DC dealer has no rear axle seals available. They will order them thru DC in Guatemala wich hopefully should not take longer than 2 weeks. All other seals were available and the bearings were bought elsewere. Will have the CV joints checked out at a specialty shop, greased and booted.
