question for Patrick/Regina re: G320

Patrick & Regina, Hi! We were wondering what you were asking for your G320LWB. We purchased our G320SWB from Europa in Aug. of '2003. It was delivered on Aug. 21. We love it! There was a silver G320LWB on the truck when ours was delivered, on its way to SC. It was beautiful, we thought it may have been yours! The driver said that he was on his way there next. We're interested in why you are considering selling. We are now looking for a LWB in addition to ours, and were comparing the G320 to the G500. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. We would like to be aware of the differences before making up our minds. Any help greatly appreciated! Thanks. :-) Keith & Karen

RE: question for Patrick/Regina re: G320

We too would like to add a second G to the family, and occassionally come across one every now and then that we like. We are not really interested in selling the G320 unless we had a replacement in the works. Literally minutes ago, just before logging on, Regina inquired about someone who is interested in purchasing my Toyota Truck that I would need to sell to enable us to move on a G500 for Regina and I would get the G320.

We never did nail down an asking price other than a few private messages to a few who expressed interest. We really do enjoy the G320 and they are not as easy to come by as the G500. Though I am not a mechanic, I do enjoy mechanical tasks that are not too totally impossible to handle and working on a G320 I do believe will be much simpler than the G500 as it seems, based on my observances from the posts on this forum. If we did decide to sell, it would likely be in the mid $40's or better. I know that there might be a better deal that comes along, but the G320 that we have is exactly as we would want it; interior and exterior color, great condition, etceteras, it even has Brabus tuned exhaust, but not being a mechanic... I don't know what that really means if anything at all... I think that it is supposed to be a minor performance enhancer that helped Europa market it for a few dollars more with little more invested in the vehicle... no complaints on our end.

G320 vs G500? There are many varrying opinions from very experienced G owners that favor different ones for different reasons. Brent posts quite often, and once had a G500 that he sold because he likes the G320 better. There is a search feature on this forum that might enable you to read some of the different perspectives from many who really know what they are talking about.

Ultimately your preference is based on how you plan to use the vehicle. Regina prefers the slightly newer G500 versus the G320 for some minor reasons to include reading lights over the second row seats and little details like that. I prefer a vehicle that I can take a water hose to the inside, but not on either this one or the next... I would love someday to have an older good condition cabriolet for that.

Where are you guys located? Raleigh or New York or somewhere in between? You will receive a few requests if you continue to use this forum to fully complete your profile information. We have really been encouraged by all of the "world-wide" members that share all sorts of valuable and entertaining information.

Welcome and Enjoy[:)]

Keep in mind that the pre-MBUSA G500's and the MBUSA G500's are quite a bit different from each other; and there are many folks who prefer the "pre" version for several reasons. Brent's sold G500 was a MBUSA model.

FWIW, there are currently two (2) of the pre-MBUSA G500's on Ebay which will probably sell in the high 30's to very low 40's.
