Mercedes benz power antenna and NEW replacement mast.

I have a power antenna, removed from my 95 w202, and the power antenna replacement mast. (brand new mast, never opened) Obviously this will work on a 202, but maybe others as well??

I dont need either one because i replaced the ENTIRE antenna, so get these parts outta my garage!

Hey my antenna is broken, and I was wondering if I should get a whole new setup, or try to fix the current one? A new assy. will be mad expensive!

From what I can tell, the problem with the antenna is usually either the gears or the circuit board, rarely the motor. There are posts that will tell you how to fix the gears. I opened the antenna on our 1994 S320 the other day and it was clearly the circuit board that was the problem. I found this guy on ebay selling new Hirschmann circuit boards for $10 plus $7 shipping. He has two different boards that will fix a lot of Mercedes antennas. Sure beats $350 for a new antenna. I'm not going to do it because I sold the S320 today (down to a S500 and a SL600). Just thought I would pass the info on. See auction # 320175944610.

thankl you very much, that helps a whole lot, seeing as to how the cheapest OEM fit one I found was like, $270! (for a whole assembly)
