Dont know if anyone would be interested, but i have a 85 500SEL 3.0L Diesel.
For free. its missing the silver bit on the bonnett. and one crome trim.
Needs 2 alloys and tyres. May need to be serviced. The interior is so immac its unreal. smells old but id eat my lunch off it. not a mark.

If it's a diesel, would it not be a 300sd?? (unless the cars are tagged differently over there??).

Is it a left hander or right just wondering how much it would be to ship to Kazakhstan? I am very serious and thinking of taking it. Please PM to discuss details. I have friends in UK who can at least give a good advice on it if we get the ball rolling.

Hi John,

Wondering if your kind offer of that 500 SEL has been taken up yet? I'm a Dublin man too with a growing family and a love of that old machine! Was looking to buy one when I came across your post.

Guess it's found a home by now has it?

We never got the SD in the UK so it would have started life as a 500 and someone stuck a 3.0D engine in it at some point. I would guess it may have been a taxi at one point.

how much would it cost to have it shipped to my home in the philippines? i really want an old benz with plenty of charm. but the new ones are out of my reach anyway, so that leaves them out, and most look like a lexus from afar.. i'll pm you sir..

i think so as well. the customs duty would kill this offer, as far as i know. they wouldnt believe in its declared value..
