I have a dielmma regarding my C300 4matic. When I drove by a road that is still not fully paved with a raised manhole cover, it ripped out couple of holes on the plastic shield under the engine with a siz of a dime. I called MB and the parts itself cost approximately $200 before labor and I am wondering should I get this plastic shield replaced ? Any thoughts are much appreciated. :crybaby2:

2-Will this part enable me to play-pause-go back for forward from the steering wheel?

Hi,

I just bought my first MB back in August. It's a 2007 C280 with 20K miles on it. Recently I just brought it in for it's first A service (under my ownership) with about 27K on it.

I notice they change the oil and filter with every A & B service (every 13K miles). I can't find anywhere in the maintenance booklet or the owner's manual the recommended oil change interval. Since it's not specified, do I only need to have it changed during my A & B services or does it need to be changed between each service as well?

I'm noticing some people are changing their oil at 10K, but that doesn't seem to make sense if I'm getting it change during the A & B service too.

Thanks

I've got an early production '08 W204 "C300" 7Gtronic anyway 36K miles and the other day I noticed a slight squeak when slowing to a stop. When I washed the car the other day I reached in and felt the rotor surface and noticed I could feel a lip along the edge of the rotor that led to believe I'm close to needing new rotors?

Just curious how many miles you guys have gotten out of your oem brake components. And do I need to take the car to the dealer for brakes or can I have an indy do it for less? Looks like the rotors are a special type with the holes drilled in for cooling and such. How much does the dealer typically charge for pads & rotor replacement. I was told that you don't resurface "drilled rotors" thanks in advance.
