It's already been in the shop 3 times for warranty work - twice for CEL and just this week for the "trans cooler" leak. I found a puddle of fluid on my garage floor one morning. It looked like coolant fluid. I took it in and the service guy told me that there is a little radiator that cools the transmission and that was the culprit. This kind of $hit shouldn't happen at 2500 miles.
My wife and I both love the GL but I'm gonna buy a Lexus next time. I'm beginning to regret that I didn't spend the extra few grand to buy the Lexus (LX?). i) are the 2010 rear entertainment system's monitors TFT-based LCD's or LED-based?

ii) can the 21" AMG wheels fit on a non-550 body without extending too far beyond the fender flares? If not, what is the final word on putting the fender flares on the GL 350?

I then went to the parts department and asked to purchase three quarts of the diesel oil and they promptly gave me the same 0W-40 - it said European formula and have MB spec 229.5 (not 229.51) on the back.

Did something change that now allows this oil type to be put into the car? Should I be concerned that this will harm the car? I really like the
Lane keep assist
Blind spot protection
and Distronic as well as the Night Vision.

rims are in good condition with no curb rash, and no bends. just normal wear and tear from being on the road for 2 years.

looking for $600, or i'm open to trading for cross bars and a cargo box.

All of my other cars that had alloy wheels required that they be re-torqued at around 50 miles.

I have a 08 Gl450, and as you know, you cant play dvd's on the command. If I buy a euro command, will it play dvd's? and whats involved in installing one of these in a US spec GL? I can get one that came out of a euro GL for real cheap, but will I need anything els to make it play dvd's when the car is parked?

I had a 2005 C230 Kompressor sedan a while ago, and I took it to the dealer to have the ECU programmed so the alarm would make a beep when I locked or unlocked the car with the key fob.

I tried doing the same with my 2008 GL450, and the guy at the dealer could not find such an option using the Star Diagnostics.

All I want is for the car to beep when I turn the alarm on and off so I dont have to look back and see if the lights flashed when I pressed the lock button on the remote each time I walk away from the car. Is this possible?
