I have the ML at the dealer right now (for another reason), and asked the service tech to check the backlighting on the OK button and the service adviser called back to say all the ML's they have on their lot do not light up. We have had the vehicle for a month or so and I cannot recall if it was or was not lit before (wifes vehicle)...just seems strange that only one button would not be lit on the entire system. I searched the topic and someone on an 06 had it diagnosed as a sensor problem when the dial flashes. However I ran it through its paces today, and the climate system seems to work perfectly. Driver and psgr side respond to temperature adjustments on dials, had psgr side all the way cold, and driver all the way hot, and reverse, and it all worked as expected. Was wondering if maybe blinking lights are just to bring attention to where temp is? or could it actually be a code for something?

I know that there are several vendors but I notice that neither PIAA or HELLA make H7's that get to the purple spectrum. I've seen luminics advertised but never heard of them. It is speed related rather than engine related, in that it gets worse at higher speeds. It lasts for about five minutes then clears up. It only seems to occur on cool days, even though the vehicle is garaged. It is almost as if the tires have flat-spotted a little while the vehicle was sitting in the garage, although I have never heard of this happening with good quality radials at above-freezing temperatures. My X5 with the same tires didn't have this problem, although those were 18-inch and these are 20-inch.

I have no doubt that if I take it to the dealer, the vibration will be "normal". :)
