The National Sport Compact Racing Association will be hosting an exhibition Time Attack Demo at their season finale on December 4th, 5th and 6th 2009 at Palm Beach International Raceway. The Time Attack Demo will take place on Saturday, December 5th, 2009 and will feature some of the country's fastest time attack cars battling out to set the track record at Palm Beach International Raceway. This will be a small teaser of what the NSCRA will have in store for the 2010 season where they plan on having a full schedule of events at Palm Beach International Raceway. Chris Rado will be in attendance with his record setting Unlimited FWD Scion tC. If you haven't had a chance to see this machine in person, this is your chance! From the revolutionary front spoiler to the custom fabrication that has gone into the car, this Scion tC is not only groundbreaking but a work of art to look at. So make sure you head on over to Palm Beach International Raceway to witness history along with the world's fastest sport compacts battling it out on the drag strip, full car show, hot body contest and live mobile dyno.

Every other mark has... I have been in talks with MBCA and want to have them put High Performance Driving Schools (HPDE) for Mercedes-Benz Drivers. Every other mark has these types of events such as Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Porsche and other marks. I'm looking for Mercdes-Benz drivers that want to do these events.

Why should you do HPDE?

It’s legal, safe, and controlled. No Cops giving you tickets, No Kids/ Animals running into your path, everyone is heading the same direction, with flagers to alert what’s a head, instructors in the car to teach you and classroom time to get a deeper understanding.

Its better way to use your money than moding your car. Trust me a guy in mini cooper that is trained will fly by you in your C63, SLK55, CLK 63 Black, SL 65 Black and even you’re SLR on track through the turns. Its all of fun if have a need for speed it’s the best way of doing this. Driving your Benz on Road Course is the best feeling ever.

We will leave around 11:30 on a California back roads drive down through the hills below San Jose to San Juan Bautista. We will have a couple of stops, including one at the Boot Hill Cemetery in San Juan Bautista. Some of the Breen Family members (Donner Party 1846-1847 Survivors) are buried here. A personal short verbal history lesson will be given by a descendant or spouse of one.

We will then head over for a nice lunch at Jardines de San Juan Mexican Garden Restaurant, 115 3rd Street. 831-623-4466:

The BW107 board has been making advance preparations for a Spring 2010 GTG in the Myrtle Beach area.

This is not a BW107 exclusive event, and anyone interested is more than welcome.

At press time the plan is for two meet days, the 17th and 18th of April, to allow some travel flexibility for those who may need it. Participation at either, or both days would be entirely at your leisure.

BW107 and BWOT contributor Jody has done some legwork and arranged for lodging discounts at a local resort.
