I constantly get a message on the cluster about the tire system, I
attempt to reset it and it doesn't seem to take.

Sometimes I will get a reading on all 4 tires and then after stopping
for a while and then starting / driving I get the same error message.

I have a problem with my SL350, the back light of the speedo meter only lit in day time/bright light. It will not lit during night time or it switch off when ever I enter into tunnle. It stay off even when I turn the head light on..:(

I dont think it due to the light sensor because the head light working good even if I put it into auto mode.

I sent it to the local workshop and they diagnosed it..thay said my overhead unit on the front win screen that contain the light sensor might damaged..I am a bit sceptical.

I have used Royal purple products on other cars with great results. However, i have never used their MAX ATF fluid.
Royal purple's website says i can use the MAX ATF on Mercedes Benz 236.x
BUT then later states:

Please note: Max ATF is not recommended or an approved warranty replacement for: Aisin Warner AW-1, Ford Type F, Ford Mercon SP & Mercon LV, GM Dexron VI, Mercedes Benz MB 236.12 & 236.14, Shell M1375.4 (ZF 6-Speed AT) and Toyota WS. Max ATF is not recommended for use in any CVT applications.

So, what trans do i have in my 2004 Sl55, and can i use this instead of OEM?

I noticed a rattling and creaking noise coming from the roof.
I read on this forum that putting some lube on the rubbers might help.
I did but the noise is still there.
Is there anything else I can do (turn some screws ?) or take it to the garage.

I'm looking at a smoking deal for a 2003 SL500 w/ 15k miles with many options. The deal isn't 100% yet but I'm thinking on it already. It would be a trade at an MB dealership, whom I'm employed by. Parts/service staff are 40 ft from my office.

The thing is, I want to make this my sole car, my daily driver. I will be purchasing a warranty for it but this is the thing: I drive about 20-22k miles a year. probably 2/3 highway, 1/3 city.

I figure, warranty it up and drive the hell out of it, then dump it before the warranty expires. The car only has 15k miles so my excessive mileage won't be reflected at the end.

Is my logic flawed somewhere? Am I missing something? I may just be nervous... First model year, super complex car, ect ect... normal. Re-measure rear height. Now 27"! Backed the car out and then back

ride height now 27 3/4"! The front never moved more than a 1/4"

and was just wondering what others thought about the car.

Wasn't really in the market for one since I had an 06 SL 500. However wife

and I walked into a benz dealer and there it was, a designo graphite 550

msrp of 111,305, my 06 msrp was 97,600. Traded for 41000 difference

which I thought was a decent price. Loved the 06 but this 09 seems to be in

league of its own. So if there is anyone out there I would sure like to here
