So, I've been scouring the internet looking for 07 and 08 E350's.

Been hoping to find the P2 Package (Xenons, cornering/curb illumination, high pressure headlight cleaners, etc...).

Seems I can easily spot the headlight cleaners - they are easily identifiable by the triangular-shaped outline between the headlights and high-beams.

ASSumed this automatically meant P2 package, but then have read/heard where that is not necessarily the case. I've seen a couple adds and "stickers" (not authentic windows, just lists) that show headlight washers for like $100.

SO, I ask all you veteran enthusiasts out there:
1 - is it true that headlight cleaners can be added separately from P2?
if so:
2 - how can I identify Xenons from "regular" headlights from the front pics of an E350?

A Big THANKS in advance for your help!

Hi, new member here. I have a 2007 E550.

1. I am wondering if it is possible to integrate bluetooth to my car and use the answer and end call button on the steering column? I have OEM navi but do not have bluetooth.

2. I have about 25k on my stock tires and it seems like my inner tread wall is bald. Is this normal? I got a alignment by mercedes when my car had 10k miles.

3. I notice that my fog light turn on accordingly to where I turn. For instance if I turn left my fog light turns on the left side. How do I turn it off? Have you guys changed it to HID or another color?

Thanks.

I have an odd electrical hiccup(s) on my 2003 E500. The problem seems centered around the lower switch panel (the one between the audio panel and the ashtray).

Anyway, on that panel we have heated seats, ESP off switch, hazard switch, power lock switch and the rear headrests down switch. Also the panel itself is the door to the CD changer.

Originally the problem was as follows. The only things that worked on that panel were the hazards, the lock switch and the headrest switch. The heated seats didn't work at all, esp off switch didn't work, and the panel wouldn't open so I could load different CDs. The changer itself works though, because there is a CD in there and it plays fine.

The fuse guide lists fuse #26 as being for the whole panel and #36 for the heated seats. I replaced them both and that changed the heated seats issue thusly. The heated seats now come on, but only once, that is to say, once I turn them on then off they won't come back on unless I cycle the ignition switch. Also, if I wait more than a few seconds after starting the engine, the heated seats don't come on at all.

The panel still won't open for the changer, still nothing from the ESP off switch.

Any ideas?

Has anyone here ever disconnect the automatic cargo cover lift? I tried pulling the fuse on the rear panel, but it's also linked to the reverse lights and power assist lock. I want those features to still be connected. Do I need to pull down the whole headliner to access the motor? Is there a plug up there that I can disconnect? Or is it hardwired?

It makes horrible grinding and squeaking noises. There must be an easy way, if you've bypassed it, please let me know.

(This question was probably asked before, but in my search I could not find any.) I am considering purchasing a 2006 E350 w211 and I was wondering what kind of miles per gallon you guys get in mixed city and highway going 80mph or so.

I already have a 1995 Mercedes E320 W124 and I only get about 14 in the city. (I will keep this car)

I would hope that because 350 has a seven-speed and ten years of technology on it's side it would get better miles per gallon. Am I right?
thanks

I don't know if I'm the only one who has this problem. Maybe it's how I use the keys, but I assure you I take care of all my things and I never abuse.

I never had a problem with the last generation MB keys.
Here's the main key:
As you can see, all the buttons have tears except the panic button.

here's the spare key:
I've used this key very sparingly during my three years of ownership and it's just beginning to tear :(

One again i need some help and advice of the Merc gurus on this forum.

I will for sure buy some new rims soon and have found a few different models that i think looks good on ebay for cheap money. Need some advice on the size of the rim on my 320 CDI wagon. I have the orginal 16" for winter tires and they will do during the winter. But soon its summer...

Will 20x8,5 with +35mm offset look silly on this car? Suggested tire size? 245/30-20?

Or should i spend some more money and get some staggerd wheels?

All pics are welcome of this wheel size (also 19")

Many thanks from Sweden

I have posted here about my troubles with the adaptive xenon headlamps in my 2005 E500. I finally fixed them this weekend, and thought you guys would like to see some photos of the procedure.

I began by removing the bumper cover, and then the right headlamp.

Then, after removing the rubber cover, stainless clips, ballast, controller, and ignitor from the headlamp assembly, I heated the headlamp to 170 degrees in the oven. After about 25 minutes, it was warm enough to remove the lens from the housing. I and a friend used screwdrivers to gently separate the lens and housing. You really need two people for this, so as to not get the sealant on the interior reflector.

I removed the original projector assembly, and installed an OEM 2007 projector that I purchased on Ebay for $42.50.

Before reinstalling the lens and reflector, I placed the headlamp back in its original position on the car, plugged everything back in, started the car, and tested its operation. No malfunction messages, and correct leveling action perked my hopes that all was well. We reheated the headlight body and replaced the reflector and lens. We then reassembled the car, and went for a test drive. Everything now works as it should.

This fix cost me $42.50 for a used, but functional, projector assembly, and about five or six hours of our labor. This was not a hard job, but attention to detail is a must.

hi all

i need help.

i was in my dad e500 at a set of lights when i planted the accelerator.
the car broke traction and chirped before the esp kicked in.
immediately after the car started experiencing loud engine vibration from idle thru to 2000rpm.

this happens when in gear or in neutral.

i'm concerned i might have broken something on the car.

i haven't told my dad it was me.

he's had a look and thinks it's a hole in the muffler yet the car does not sound any louder than normal.

would a hole in the muffler cause vibrations i described?

or is the likely culprit destroyed engine mounts??
