Talk about four intense months. In less than half a year I have moved to Dubai, worked in China and lost my job. Still in a better position than when I started, but not without its share of hardship. It never gets easier!

Thank you! I hope to return to the US mid-year if I get my Green Card. Otherwise, I think I'll start a shop in my hometown. Things are still up in the air!

These days I've been remembering a lot of the good old times down the PanAmerican. So, two years later, I present you with a lot of material that was kept secret when the Gullwing story was published.

Are you ready for a trip down Memory Lane into the Cave of Wonders?

Out of the blue, here's an update from Istanbul. Recomend the city 100% for your next escape.
Soon enough I will be touring the US in a car, will write an update for that project next month!

Miguel, it's nice to hear from you. I'm glad to see that you are doing well in your well appointed office. Why are you looking out of the window?

Haha! Funny that you say that; my museum office did not have any windows; but my mobile office —namely, airplane, train, café— has the best views!

Llorente of Arabia strikes again! This time is the long-expected trip to Jordan I took last February. It hasn't been until now that I decided to write on it, for I have been busy with all the workplace drama, moving to a new home, and my future USA tour with "Curator on the Go". So far, the response has been mostly positive.

...."I have walked down the streets of New York and Chicago, and sailed my imagination at the crowns of its towers. I have climbed monuments the Mayan built to defeat the millennia, and gazed at the stars next to splashing crocodiles and solemn temples in Egypt. I have stood at the feet of Burj Khalifa and the boulevards of Paris, toured the galleries of Milano, and sailed through the canals of Venice. I have witnessed the industrial might of China, the chant of the mosques of Istanbul and the colorful markets in Oaxaca; shivering and hungry, I have seen the sun rise from Panama's highest peak. I have lived enough to see the human beehive valleys of Medellín on my way home. But never before, however, have I been in such awe as in Petra."

Miguel, I pray that I 'll have enough time to do what you have than thus far. Unlike you, I have to wait for retirement to pursue such adventures. Currently, I barely covered South America, Asia and part of Europe which you have done with ease and seemingly without time and resources constraints.

Happy trails!

Miguel, I've now read nearly all of your reports. Not just entertaining but fairly gripping! You definitely have more than your share of adventures. Your accident in Colombia was heart-stopping.

I guess you've realized by now that the best jobs come via word-of-mouth. Too many people throw their résumés to the wind and are mystified by the lack of response. There are millions out there!

BTW, my friends who have Harvard MBAs say that getting in was by far the hardest part. If you're serious about business school, there are several alternatives which you might find more rewarding.

Also, I agree with you that Istanbul is intoxicating.
