Hey everyone! I just joined this forum and wanted to let some people know that there is a meet at Gasworks Park in Seattle April 4th if anyone would like to go. Unfortunately it is kind of in competition with the MB Club meet, but there should be quite a few guys showing up. This started in the w124 forum on mbworld.org, and some guys from 190revolution are gonna show up, but anyone is welcome. I can post up details if anyone is interested.

BTW July 4th at Pacific Raceways sounds like a good time! Maybe we should consider that?

I would be very interested unless it rains or SNOWS. My 280SL does not go out in the snow. Please post the details, time, location in the park, and do we bring lunch and is it also a show of the cars?

Thanks, Jerry -e-mail - j.d-reichert633BMW@att.net

The weather forcast for the weekend looks good so hopefully we will luck out.

We are meeting at Gas Works Park at 12:00. The plan is to hang out and BS for a while, followed by lunch at a nearby restaurant (yet to be decided), and then a drive for whoever wants to go. I don't know the area at all, being from bellingham, so I'm still waiting for someone to suggest where we might find a good drive in Seattle lol. I'm guessing that most of our planning will occur "on-site" because nobody has been able to come up with where to drive.

Personally, I will be taking Highway 9 home, which is an awesome drive... Just in case anyone was wondering

I've never been there and I was assuming that it would be easy to find everyone else, but I don't know exactly where to meet in the park. I know it sounds pretty unorganized but from the sound of things, there will be anywhere from 5 to 15 people there with their cars, so it should be a good time either way. Hope to see you there!

Gas Works Park is on the North side of Lake Union at the cross streets of Northlake Way and Densmore. There is a parking lot on the North side of the park where you can see the very large gas refining tanks and pipes (very rusty). This is the only parking lot at the park and holds about 50 cars. Hope to see you there. I'm driving a 1977 280SL silver with a hard top on. Ivars Clam House is close by for lunch.

Jerry
