The first Bay Area EuroSunday is now in the books. We had an amazing turnout of cars for our first ever event. Several Lamborghini Murcielagos, Ferrari F430s, a strong showing from Keith and Joe with the Bay Bimmers Group, a few Aston Martins including a right hand drive DB5, serial number 001 belonging to the BMW M5 Estate was also at the event. The Pantera Club made strong showing and everything else in between.
The drive after the event was the largest ever for a EuroSunday event. Winding its way through the foothills of the east bay to Lafayette for lunch. Some of the cars on the drive include a bran new F430 spider, multiple Vettes, Lotus 7, Viper, DB9 Volante, and many BMW’s and Audis. Because of the amount participants interested in the drives we will run two or three groups in order to keep the drives more manageable. We will also release the end destination so people that just want to meet everyone for lunch can do so.
The next EuroSunday Bay Area will be on the 3rd Sunday of the month 3/16/2008. We will confirm the event location and post it on the website and to the forums.
We would like to thank everyone who attended our first event and welcome any feedback on what we can do to make it better. Special thanks to Justin for offering to be one of the bay area leads for us. Also thanks to the Pantera Club, Babblers and Bay Bimmers.

I cannot begin to tell you how insane the turnout for EuroSunday was today. Porsche and BMW took top honors this time around. Can Ferrari out do these guys next month when we move to Mountain View? I certainly hope so. We had over 150 cars show up today and over 50 cars participated in our drive. Over 35 people joined us for lunch. AWESOME is the only word that explains this month's EuroSunday. Without you guys, this would not be possible. Standouts included Fred’s Pet Frog (this is also the car of the month), four white 997 GT3s, a Ford GT, numerous Corvettes, several Ferraris, Audis, and last but not least a Lotus Seven. While EuroSunday was originally intended for European vehicle, we welcome and encourage all marquees to attend. We love all and hate no one. Spread the word as you never know what might be at the next EuroSunday Bay.
This month, EuroSunday Bay drove back roads from Blackhawk to 580 and then to some intensely twisting roads (Corral Hollow/Tesla) back around to Livermore up to Vasco ending in Brentwood for lunch at Johnny Carinos. We had one casualty. Unfortunately Ron in his 997 White Targa was the CHP’s sacrificial lamb (sorry Ron). However, in EuroSunday family fashion we all contributed funds towards the cost of the ticket at lunch. Hey you wouldn’t leave a wounded soldier on the field would you?
The next EuroSunday Bay will be on April 20th in Mountain View at 1037 El Monte Ave # C, Mountain View, CA.
FEATURED CAR OF THE MONTH:
Fred’s Pet Frog – Look for an email with more pictures and information about this truly custom and gorgeous Porsche GT3RS. Additionally, there will be a section this month on the website about this car. Every month a new car will be selected, and each car will be archived on the site.

This April, EuroSunday Bay Area converged on Mountain View for its first appearance on the Peninsula. There were 172 cars in attendance despite the array of events going on (such as the Long Beach Grand Prix). One of the first cars on site was a 1968 Lamborghini Miura, following the Miura, we had numerous other standout cars including three Porsche GT3RSs. Two of these GT3RSs are currently featured on the front of Modified Luxury and Exotic magazine for April. Also seen at this month’s event…a BMW M3 lightweight, an Ariel Atom, a Porsche 993 RUF R Turbo, several forced-induction e46 BMWS M3s, a nice row of BMW 6-series, a Mercedes Benz CLK63 AMG Black Series, and a fleet of American thunder in the form of Corvettes, and Vipers. The atmosphere was full of enthusiasm, so much in fact that Mountain View and Los Altos black and white finest showed up to hangout. You know you have a good event when the boys in blue are acting just like the rest of us kids in a candy store.
In April, the staff here at EuroSunday decided to try a new format for our afternoon rallies. While we had the traditional afternoon drive to lunch, we now offer an afternoon roundtrip rally with lunch. Sunday’s rally start from Mt. View began with a jaunt down the freeway towards Woodside. From Woodside we made our way down the infamous NorCal highway 84. This is one of the most popular roads in California among motorbike and car enthusiast alike. From the bottom of highway 84 we came back up Pescadero Creek towards Alice’s Restaurant for lunch. Now I don’t know about everyone else, but I had a few laughs when I noticed half our group passing us in the opposite direction. Lesson #1 for EuSu staff, we need to bring even more maps – we just never seem to have enough! Lesson #2 for EuSu staff, do not trust Google Maps. Why?.... the road from highway 1 up towards Big Basin was in fact a fire road. Local California Department of Forestry Fire was very helpful in finding the right route for us though. Big Basin offered some truly miraculous scenery and some incredibly narrow single land roads. All in all for those that went on the post-lunch drive we covered a total of 155 miles on Sunday including the morning drive.
You may have noticed last month that we began choosing a “Car of the Month”. Well, April’s Bay Area car of the month is none other than the BMW M3 lightweight! Please feel free to check out our website where you will find all the information on the car. As EuroSunday continues to grow, our creativity and ideas for new events continue to grow as well. We want to thank all of you for coming out on Sunday, and we want to thank all of you for supporting EuroSunday. You are the most important part of making EuroSunday possible.

Event Reminders:
May turned out to be one of the smallest turnouts in EuroSunday history. However, with the Premier Customer Engagement the day before and Bay to Breakers on Sunday we did not expect our usual attendance. The quality of the vehicles in attendance was exceptional though. We had roughly 50 cars at one point, and were blessed with the presence of John Alff and his remarkable 1954 Mercedes Benz 300SL Gullwing. As the morning accrued time a Ferrari 512TR and 360 made their presence, as well as the Sharkwerks 3.8L GTSRS. Promptly at 10:15am the group headed out for the traditional post-meet drive. Winding their way south down Foothills Boulevard then up Highway 9, Northern California’s famed Skyline Boulevard was fast approaching. The swift and agile group continued up Skyline with great speed, and the views were remarkable with a huge wall of fog off towards the Pacific and a clear view of the Bay. As the group approached Alice’s Restaurant they veered off and onto La Honda down to the world famous Pacific Coast Highway. Just a little after noon the group arrived at the Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay where they enjoyed great food and one of the most scenic dining experiences on the coast. Next month the Bay Area meet will move back over to Danville at the Blackhawk Plaza. Until then, happy motoring.
EuroSunday Reno's first official gathering was a tremendous success. With little time to make a formalized announcement, there were still well over 20 cars in attendance! Special thanks to Dennis for bringing out his new, and amazing Ford GT sporting over 800bhp compliments of a few modifications! Also in attendance was a Lamborghini Gallardo, whose owner also has a Ferrari F430 and promises to bring that out to our show next month! In addition there were some exceptionally great Corvettes, Porsches, BMWs, and an Ultima GTR race car which was absolutely stunning! We will all be curious to see that car again once it’s new setup consisting of an LS7 motor is done. More interestingly, there was a Dodge Ram SRT-10 in attendance, and how they manage to stuff the Viper motor in there baffled us all. We look forward to next Month, which will also incorporate the Driven2Drive weekend.
The EuroSunday staff has been extremely busy growing EuroSunday to bring you bigger and better events. But first let’s get to some fun and exciting information. Both Miami and Sacramento had their monthly events with a very strong attendance. Miami saw rain, keeping most of the cars in their garages, but this did not turn away the diehard enthusiast who still came out to participate in the event. Erik, our East Coast Director will be posting his photos and recap on the EuroSunday Miami site soon.
Sacramento had a fantastic turnout with some new faces and old faces as well. . There were such cars like a Ferrari 599 GTB, a pearl-orange Lamborghini Murcielago, and an 2008 BMW M3 making their first appearance. While the usual assortment of Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Aston Martins, Maseratis and NSXs rounded out the exotics in amazing form. Rest assured though that the modified and vintage crowd made a superb showing in numbers..
The drive, consisting of ten cars wound it’s way up through the winery roads in Placerville. With traffic remaining fairly light there was a great deal of spirited driving. Some people even commented that this was the best EuroSunday Sacramento drive thus far. Following the drive the caravan converged on the Streets of London in Folsom for lunch and a little Futbol.
· EuroSunday is excited to announce that we have teamed up with the Niello Concours. This partnership brings blossomed because of the desire to create a week long celebration of friends, family, speed, and fine cars, all kicking off with the Red Baron Ball on September 27. The website will be updated shortly with all the details on the week long extravaganza =)
· EuroSunday has also added a Donation button feature to the website in an effort to expand EuroSunday and make more events possible. We thank everyone who has donated to EuroSunday and those who will in the future. The EuroSunday team is committed to bringing you a world class community and events.

EuroSunday Announces the First Annual Euro500 Rally Series
The time has finally come and we are excited to bring you the Euro500 Rally Series. Beginning July 12, 2008, EuroSunday will offer seven rallies over the next 5 months. Each event will have a different theme and experience while covering some of the most scenic roads in Northern California. The Euro500 Series was inspired by the likes of the Bullrun and the Gumball 3000 with the realization that most enthusiast can’t take a seven day cross country trip, much less afford the associated entry fees which can cost tens-of-thousands-of-dollars.
The first Euro500 Series rally will take place on July 12 and will serve to bring the EuroSunday Sacramento and EuroSunday Bay Area groups together in the picturesque Napa Valley. For more information visit the
