January 20th, 2007 SLK Meet & Drive - Calaveras/Sunol - Benzworld.org

Mercedes Benz SLK roadster owners are invited to meet rain or shine at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, January 20th in the parking lot at the Capitol Square Shopping Center in San Jose for display of their cars and camaraderie (meet and greet, show and shine). To get to this location, take Highway 680 and get off at the McKee Rd exit in San Jose. The shopping center is at the corner of N. Capitol and McKee Rd. You can't miss it, look for the Albertson's Store at 320 N. Capitol Ave:

At 11:30 a.m., Alison will lead us on a drive that will take us north to Calaveras in Milpitas and out by the Calaveras Reservoir and on up to Sunol.

No reservations are needed. There is no cost except your optional lunch and vehicle costs. Join us for an enjoyable day.

That looks like a nice drive. I like the middle section with all the squiggles in the road.

Sadly, now I gotta choose between this meet and the local MB meet now.

Keep us in mind for another month...we go the third Saturday of the month except December (holidays). Here is 2007 plans so far with two additional being finalized.

Confirmed count so far (as of last night) was 21 SLKs---35 people.

A couple of the cars may just be there for the meeting and not drive due to commitments, but then again we sometimes get people that have not confirmed since we don't require it...

Looks like a good group of 170's, 171's of all types including 55's and very likely a Kleeman...

While we have lot of participants from the Sacto area, this month I only see one couple from Carmichael on the confirmed list...we use BCC lists to keep privacy of participants on distruibutions, so I hesitate to give out address. I will email them and point them to this thread, so they can contact you if they have an interest in driving down together..
