We know that Mercedes-Benz drivers are the best drivers on the road. Now let’s see who the best Mercedes driver is.
This year’s fall event for The Mercedes-Benz club of America – Toronto Section, is an automotive gymkhana – driver challenge. It will be held on Sunday October 2nd 2005 in the paved Westwood Theatre parking lot starting at 9am.
Bring out your Benz and put yourself to the test through our two challenging courses.
The “Speed course tests how fast you can go through the pylons. It’s not a high-speed run but it is performance oriented. The “Skills course will have you stopping and reversing through pylons. The combined lowest times for each course will determine your overall time and the winner.
Each car/driver will be placed into categories so an ML is not competing with an SLK. There will be winners in each category. Certificates will be given to each entrant.
Come out and see what you and your car can do in this fun and safe environment.
The Westwood theatre is located in Toronto at Kipling Avenue and Dundas Street which is easily accessible from the QEW or hwy 427.
Because of insurance purposes, while everyone is welcome to attend, only those who are members of the Mercedes-Benz Club of America are able to participate.
there is a $20 entry fee for each driver.
If you are not a member and would like to join, please visit their web site and signup online. www.mbca.org

RE: Mercedes Gymkhana - Drivers challenge - Toronto
of course if you are not a member you can sign-up right there at the event. so if you like what you see you can participate.
a few were asking... the skill course is timed. regular penalties apply for hit pylons. you will have to stop, start and reverse through the tight course all without spilling a cup of water on your hood! you will finish by reversing through a pair of pylons and seeing how close you can align your rear axle with the pylons. penalties apply to the amount of inches you are off. lots of fun.
If there are any more meets, etc happening in the Toronto area, I would definitely like to attend. I've been looking and hadn't seen any postings until today.
