Has anyone else been to the M Class traveling show? It took place near Boston this weekend and was a total disaster.
1) Not enough cars. 8 M Class cars, but only 4 were running at one time. 2 E Class. 2 C Class. No S, SL, SLK, CLK, or G.
2) Lines were too long; as result of not having enough cars and only having ONE TRACK! Are you kidding?
3) NO FOOD! Compared to the C Class event 2 years ago, this was a total disgrace.
4) No free stuff! Not even a hat this year. The C Class event was chock full of free stuff.
5) No comparison cars. No BMW, Audi, Caddy, or anything else to compare against the new M.
Overall, I was so disappointed with the event, I didn't even pay attention to the cars. One thing I did notice was a COLUMN SHIFTER on the M Class. What? No "guy" will buy a car with a colum shifter. Bad move, Merc.
Anyone else have a better experience with this event?
I went to the one at Fedex field in MD. I've never been to one before so I have nothing to compare to it. There was no food, no free stuff, and my event only had M's (No E Class or C Class or any other class). There were 2 tracks, one off road and one regular. The lines were not really that long when I went. There were no competitors cars and the column shift is not a traditional column shift.
I remember the c class event. It was very nice and I enjoyed it very much. I dident sign up for the M class event because I knew I wouldent enjoy any event unless I could go crazy in the car.
Agreed this was a bust! I went to the one in Belmont Race track on Long Island. When we left we received a 5 CD set of a book on tape about a WWII vet who dies and looks back on his past. What the heck was that all about. The best ever attended was last year a jaguar event at Lime rock race track, they served a steak BBQ and you received a bag of Car related items Including a hat and got to drive on the track!
Mercedes...take a look at the competition in more ways then one.
