Indy or Merc garage near Gibraltar?

I've just had an appalling experience having my car serviced by the local Mercedes agency in Gibraltar!
Can anyone recommend a good independent garage, prefereably a Mercedes specialist, nearby. La Linea, Manilva, Estepona, Gaucin, Casares etc

I've not had any experience with Gedime in Gib, but you could try Benet on the Estepona poligono. I buy spare parts there and they seem to be fairly well clued up.

You mention my home village of Casares, there are only about four Mercs including mine, so no independent workshop there

Hi sorry to hear about your problem. Would you mind telling me what the actual problem was because I was thinking of putting my CLS in there for a service. I actually live in Spain and thought that it was a good idea to drop the car off to them and spent a few hours shopping and lunch in Gib while the car was serviced.
Thanks Geoff Jones

Sorry its taken so long to get back to you - I've been away etc.
Gedime were a nightmare, they overcharged me by a huge amount, and some of the work that they charged for was not done! Needless to say they are not my best friends at the moment.... I even wrote to Mercedes to complain. but frankly they werent really interested. I dont want to go too far down the line with my gripes for fear of legal action!! But I would suggest that anybody, anywhere else is better.
I've had Mercs for the last 20 years or so and I've never experienced such poor service. It even took them a week to credit my card for the (blatant) overcharge. I'm still waiting for some sort of apology......
I am still casting round to find a good indy Merc in this neck of the woods.
If you find somebody please let me know...

PS. A couple of new restaurants have opened on Queensway Quay - The Landings and Le Bateau - worth a try

If you're in Gib you'll be hard pushed to find a decent indy for Mercs.

I can't remember the name, but the Mercedes dealer next to Carrefour in Los Barrios were very good.

I still enjoy a pint and a meal in the Clipper in Irish Town

The best one is in Malaga, Talleres Fernandez Hidalgo, worth a try.
