When it rains it pours, so to speak. Before it pours I need new tires on the ML as well as the E. I have Dunlop SP Sport 5000 now from CPO purchase. Have been reasonably happy with them and they are inexpensive compared to almost everything else. I don't know that wet performance (from last years storms) is that great and I've sadly never had it in snow. Any improvement in ride or noise would be appreciated but I don't want it to wallow around like a Caddy. Off roading consists of dirt or gravel christmas tree lot. I do drive it fairly hard. Have gotten 22K on these. Rear are gone and front very soon. Thanks for the input. An amazing resource.

I recommend looking into the Michelin Lattitude Tour HP. This model is an improvment on all levels. Better wet traction, ride quality, and longevity.

Thanks for the suggestion. That looks like the logical choice. Am I going to sacrifice dry handling? Realizing it's still a truck will I notice a substantial improvement in ride comfort and noise as well as wet handling? At about twice the cost it does make me think about it. The Dunlop has been a decent tire. Thanks.

Dry handling will be very equal to the Dunlops but you will certainly see and improvment in overall ride quality and wet traction. This model uses "Secure-Lock" sipes which delivers better handling in rain and snow by locking together for greater rigidity. Michelin also uses dual tread compounding in the Latitude Tour HP which increases all season traction and stopping distance. This model was built for crossover/luxury SUV vehicles.
Short story. Money's tight right now so I put 2 new Dunlops on the rear. Fronts are good for a few more months. Spent the money on new Pilot Sport A/S Plus for the E350. Next time I will check out the Michelins. Thanks for the advice.
