hi
i have a stock 2005 c230 with 16" rims running 205 -55-16, the offset is i think 31. i have found a set of e class 16" rims with the winter tires in great shape for a good deal but the rim offset is 41. will this work on my car. the e class tires are also 215 55 16, a little wider but not much. called the dealer got no where, and other tire shops were not helpfull.

This is too close to tell without test fitting. The 215/55R16 is a hair taller than the 205/55R16's you have now. I looked up the wheels you are talking about and it sounds like they are from an early 2000-01 E class, making them a 16x7.5. If this is correct, with a 41mm offset these are going to tuck into the vehicle beyond what we recommend without test fitting.
