RE: Intrax lowering springs

Hey, I feel your frustration my friend, I sort of have the same problem with my 2000 E-320 wagon(Not 4 matic!). I purchased the H&R drop coils from the Tire Rack. Installed them, the front went down fine, but the rear didn't do anything! Plus, I have had a post on this site for a while now and nobody has been able to help me, I'm starting to believe that possibly the self leveling shocks are playing with me, cuz the H&R coils are alot shorter than OEM, and Idon't want to cut coils....yet. Let me know what you find out. Thanks

RE: Intrax lowering springs

I was talking to a person that had the same problem as you and they had there mechanic adjust the hight of the rear self/lev system for them. Iv heard of MB
doing this for people also...Did you change the spring pad in the rear? That might be a option too. I think you can go as low as 8mm but I'm not sure?

thanks,
lesko

RE: Intrax lowering springs

I had a feeling that was the case, I had been planning on making an experiment with those shocks and see if they had some sort of memory or setting, but now that you say it, I'm glad there is an adjustment. I just couldn't force myself to believe that those H&R coils(that much shorter) wouldn't bring the ass end lower to close up the wheel gap for my 19's. Thanks for the info!
