I own a 1999 E300 Turbodiesel and am experiencing pitting in the finish on my wheels. I have brought this to the attention to the dealer and the claim this is caused by the brake dust and have seen this often. They however are unsure as to whether this is is a MB warranty problem. (car has only 28k) Has anyone seen this on their cars and if so how did they resolve the problem?<br>

I had some KMC wheels in chrome on my 89 Volvo that were only a year old and they started to pit. I took them back to Tire Discounters and they replaced them for me. I was extremely pleased with that. Partly because I am looking for wheels for my C230 and like the idea that the store will stand behind there products. However, I tried every chrome polishing product that could be found and they only helped a little.
