Tire Fit
I have a 2000 W202 with 224/45/17 tires on. Can I put a thicker tires for a not so bumpy ride?
205/45/17 or 215/45/17?
Thanks

I'm a little puzzeled, What size is on the car now? {cant be 224x45x17} 205 and 215 would be SMALLER {less sidewall} than 225 or 245???

You will need to go to a higher profile, i.e., 55. Tire would then be, say, 205/55/17. The overall diameter has to stay pretty much the same. Try 1010tires . com to compare tire diameters,

225/45-17 is the correct size and is not typically a harsh riding size ... what tire pressure are you running?
