Wheel Swap for '81 380SL

I have a 1981 MB 380 SL with the original 15" wheels on it. I just was given some 16" wheels from a late model mercedes that I would like to put on my car. When I tried to put them on, it seemed like the lug bolts weren't long enough. But then someone told me that I would need some kind of kit because the earlier model rims were "lug centric" as opposed to being "hub centric" or something to that effect.

Do I need anything besides longer lug bolts to mount these on my car? I do know that the wheel radius has to be the same, so I'll be using lower profile tires.

The numbers on the wheels are as follows:

two of them have: SM 7 1/2 X 16 H2ET41
& two have: SL 973

Any help will be appreciated.
