OUCH! As seen at Poor Freddies Tire Center in Jamaica NY

Check what a New York City pothole can do to an 18 AMG!

Impact speed was about 45 mph, also took out the lower control arm.

Damage cost: Wheel $775, Tire $ 215, LCA $1500 (part and dealer labor)

Wow.

Just wow.

That is an expensive pothole. Out here people sue the City over such things -- after they climb out of the pothole. Hopefully the owner had good insurance.

FWIW I like the avatar.

Take care and enjoy the ride,
Greg

you honestly have to work hard to keep dirt on it like that. I mean when it rains you have park it in.

I'm switching to a set of staggered Rial Rims for my 420sel. The rears are 9x16 ET11 which means its getting a bit tight in there. I'm planning on going to 60 or 55 aspect ratio but I'm not sure about the width. Would 225 or 235 work?
