Balancing a wheel with spacers?

I'm about to have some Kleemanns put on my wife's CLS and they use a spacer that attaches to the wheel via 2 screws.

My question is. . .Does the tire/wheel get balanced with the spacer attached?

My gut reaction is that they should get balanced with the spacer attached, but given I have no experience with spacers that attach to the wheel, I thought it better to just ask.

I would do it without the spacer and then double check after the spacer installation .... not a fan of spacers in general though

Thanks Luke.

My first choice would be to not have spacers either, but that's the way Kleemann does it and those are the wheels she wants. I don't have anything against a properly made and used spacer (the Ford I drive came from the factory with spacers), I'd just prefer to not have another item to have to keep an eye on.
