I have a 2007 GL 450, 13K miles (18 months old) and was just told the tires are bald. I am wondering if others have had to replace the tires this early on the car's life.
Our 4x4 Contacts are also bald after 13K and 15 months. Continental says these are "High Performance" tires and only last 8,000-12,000 miles. What a non-sense. High or Low performance, it is not acceptable. I will have to contact MBUSA for the final scoop.

my 4 x4 wore on the inside on all 4. Noticed tire noise at 11000 miles. Tire shop said all the GL's eat tires. Dealer is denying. Said I should have rotated them. Common sense tells me if they are all 4 wearing regardless of what corner they are, what good will rotating them do?
I still have a little tread left on my GL450 19 inch 4x4 Contacts at 24,500 miles now trying to decide if I should replace these or get some nice aftermarket wheels
I do know however that high performance tires have softer rubber for better sticking and do wear faster.
I am totally happy to have gotten 24,000 miles out of these I have an Acura NSX that eats through rear tires every 5,000 miles and I drive it like an old lady.
