How does your Sport ride?

I get a very rough ride on certain stretches of road. Only the smoothest of road conditions up to 60 MPH and after 80 MPH are comfortable. My prior ride was a 1989 R107 560Sl with new 15" Michelins at 28 lbs was a smooth soft ride.

I currently have a 2000 SL500 with the SL1 Sport package. This includes Yoko AVS dB S2 245/40ZR18 front and 275/35ZR18 rear, ultra-low profile high-performance tires.

I have had the car aligned and all four tire trued and balanced on the car w/ no bent rims at this tiime.

The next step may be to put on a larger 18" profile. Has anyone had success with moving from a 35 to a 40 or 45 series? How big can I go on the front and rears with the 8.5Jx18" front and 9.5Jx18" rear, staggered-width AMG 5 spoke monoblock alloy wheels that I have?

That is normal. All MB Sport vehicle has a sport chassis and suspension. The ride on certain roads/speed is rough. Because our suspension are stiffer than the other Editions.

Your 89 560SL was a luxury coupe. Your current car is a sport coupe.
