stock 16" CLK wheels and 17" chrome sport E wheels

My wife is killing me. She has a 2000 E430 with the stock 17" sport wheels which are chrome. I have a 2001 CLK320 with the stock 16" wheels. My question is, can I swap the wheels and tires from one car to the other? She has destroyed her second wheel in 4 months due to the low profile tire on the 17" rim because she doesn't pay attention to potholes and the railroad tracks. Thanks in advance.

The wheels will cross over, but the tires will not. Your wide's W210 runs taller tires than your W208 so you would have to buy 2 new sets of tires as well for a proper fitment.
