Well, it's come time to paint the 'ol turbodiesel before another northeast ohio winter turns it into a case study in body rot.
Car was originally orient red and 4 colors of primer when I got it. The bodywork was well done, but the PO decided to stop short of respraying. I primed it black when i got it, just to hold me over for the summer, and intended on going with gloss black and lots of clearcoat.
However, theres something about orient red that makes the car stand out. Now its primed red and its making me anxious. I have all my supplies--but i cant find a proper mixing ratio to duplicate the color. any advice/suggestions/experiences in mixing this color?
I looked up your model at paintscratch.com and it lists code 501 as maroon. I believe you can get the paint premixed there by the pint, quart or gallon. From what I have read about this place they provide a very good match along with a guarantee.
