Hello, I have just leased a new C350 and want to wax it. I've used in the past a lot of products, and most of them did a great job, but didn't last too long in the rain. The longest lasting product that I've tried was NuFinish. Bird dropping would glide off it with simple hosing. But it's been years since I've waxed any car so I was hoping to find something better than NuFinish. My car is leased so I don't to put in too much time or effort waxing it - something basic that will protect it for a long time with minimum effort. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Yep it sounds like a synthetic wax or sealant is right fir you. Klasse and Zaino are great and i have heard great things about the ultima paint guard. A little goes a long way with sealants so don't let prices scare you off.
In the old days I used to use Rain Dance paste and thought it was great. Can't find it anymore. Lately use Meguiar tech wax -- nice finish, doesn't seem to last very long. I will try NuFinish.
For extrememly quick wax jobs that last a loooooong time try either Opti Seal or Ultima PGP. UPGP Takes 10x less time to apply than Zaino and with 3 apps you will get Zaino like protection. Opti Seal is a little easier to apply but both have exceptional protection and take maybe 5 min to apply to a fullsize van. They are wipe on walk away products. If you like the look of a carauba after you apply some of these two sealants apply a glaze and then top it with what ever of the two sealants you have been using. It will look amazing.
My best experiences to date have been with the Adams line of products. Their Machine Super Wax is one of the best I have used. Goes on and off with ease and stands up well to the elements.

I used to use NuFinish years ago and was pretty satisfied with it. I now use Zaino and I'll never switch. It seems to hold up quite well, gives an incredible "wet" shine and, once you get past the initial prep stage (which isn't too bad) it's an absolute breeze to put on and remove. And there is none of that white powder to worry about.
As far products that you can pick up at any autoparts store, i have like meg's NXT 2.0 the best for finish and durability, but there are some way better products out there that i prefer.
