Thank you for the welcome

Providing knowledge and solutions to automotive detailing problems that both Enthusiasts and Professionals alike trust and rely on

I have always tried to find out not just “How it works, but also “Why” it works. With that in mind I probably respond with more detail than some think is necessary. But try to write in a way that helps the reader to understand not only "How" to do something, but "Why" they are doing it.

togwt, let me also welcome you to our forum. We welcome all input here even if, sometimes, it creates rather heated debates

Thank you for the welcome, debate as in a differing opinion / method is always good. Heated debate sometimes not so good

My best advise; research other options and products, test them and then make an objective decision based upon factual information not hype or brand loyalty. After all, how can you fully understand and properly use any product unless you have all the facts? I would also strongly suggest that you verify any information that I or anyone else shares with you.

Welcome! I have seen you someplace else, would I be correct in this assumption?
Glad to have another professional here, in expertise as well as composure.

question

hey there, i have always used NXT tech wax and it has come out great. I recently talked to my friend, who speicalizes in body work/detailing and he says that you should NEVER wax your car. He recommends using products from WIZARDS because they have no wax or sillicon in them, he says that the wax cloggs the paints pores, what do you guys think?

Hah, that old myth. Well, you're going to want to let the paint cure so the solvents escape (called outgassing) for a few weeks, typically 30 days or so.

No wax or silicone? So is it a polymer protectant? I'd understand the "no silicone" part, but no wax? MUST be a synthetic polymer or acrylic sealant. Not like either of those "breathe" any better than a wax...(lol) Sounds like he's selling these "Wizards" products.

After this curing period though, you'll want to keep it protected. Use a good pure carnauba wax such as P21s 100% or some high quality polymer sealant like Zaino.

BTW...

Autopia/Deatailersclub.

Good to know people rely on you. Should be expected from a fellow Autopian!
